Overview

In 2019, Napier-Reid provided a water treatment system to the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation in Scugog, Ontario.

The provided system includes a gravity filter water treatment package which produces potable water from well water at a capacity of 1,000 m³/day, removing >99.9999% of cryptosporidium and giardia, and >99.99% of viruses. Gravity filtration systems are highly effective at removing turbidity and are compact and cost effective.

The full scope of supply provided by Napier-Reid includes: two gravity filter trains, one lot of instrumentation, an inline static mixer, five chemical injection systems for injections of coagulant (1 system), polymer (2 systems) and KMnO₄ (2 systems), two electric tank mixers, and a PLC control panel.
